A Night at the Copacabana

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego hosted their annual ROMP gala, "A Night at the Copacabana," to raise crucial funds for their home away from home for critically ill children. As a consultant on the night's entertainment and talent, I had the pleasure of working with THE SCENE to bring Dancing with the Stars pro-dancer Lindsay Arnold and Emmy-nominated choreographer, dancer, and recording artist Mark Ballas to the stage. The dynamic duo delivered a breathtaking performance that left the audience spellbound and helped make the night a huge success.

The event took place at a private estate in Rancho Santa Fe and had a theme of “A Night at the Copacabana.” It was a night to remember as notable philanthropists and supporters of San Diego’s Ronald McDonald House gathered for dinner, cocktails, and celebrity entertainment.

The gala was a great success, raising much-needed funds to allow the organization to offer lodging, meals, and other supportive services to families with hospitalized children. Families with critically ill or injured children often find a “home away from home” at San Diego’s Ronald McDonald House during their child’s hospitalization, thanks to the generosity of attendees at the gala.

“Our event Chairwoman Fernanda Whitworth and Co-chairwoman Jennifer Gramins went above and beyond the call of duty this year to create an unforgettable night for our attendees and help raise much-needed funds," said Chuck Day, president and CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego. "Their efforts and the support of our donors and volunteers will make a real difference in the lives of families with hospitalized children.”

In addition to the celebrity entertainment, the event featured live and silent auctions, making it a night to remember for all in attendance. Overall, it was an incredible evening that brought together a community of dedicated individuals committed to supporting families in need.
